Bio

Debra lives in Whitby, and works from her home studio.

Deb's passion is creating micro macrame and beaded jewellery, taking inspiration from her surroundings and the changing seasons.

Macrame, a traditional form of knotting cords and threads used in Ancient times, is still used today in the marine industry.

In 2006 Deb discovered micro macrame, the same techniques used throughout history but on a much finer scale, using delicate threads & precious metals to create intricate statement jewellery pieces.

Deb also creates beaded jewellery, but often combines both mediums to create individiual works with interesting textures and designs.
