Bio

Patrick is an award-winning artist with work in many public and private collections in the UK and abroad. Holder of the William Tier memorial award for landscape and the John Purcell London paper prize. Smith has exhibited widely with sell out shows at the London art fairs and latterly exhibited at Highgate contemporary in North London.

 

Smiths practice encompasses working in the landscape channelling the forming forces of nature and bringing this back to the studio where it evolves into landscapes of the mind, all through the lens of the Howardian Hills and surrounding east coast. As an educationalist Patrick was former head of the p/time BTEC national diploma course foundation studies in art and design at York College also a visiting scholar and examiner on the BA hons course in fine art at university college of Ripon and York St John and also a former head of printmaking and visiting lecturer at Harrogate college.

Opening times

We are open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, excluding Wednesdays during Winter.

Saturdays, 10am to 5pm.

Sundays closed.

There is street parking on St Hildas Terrace. The nearest car park is on Cliff Street.

 

We are a 5 minute walk from Whitby Train Station via Brunswick Street.
